I've spent the last decade designing and building scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-based backends for fintech, telecom, and SaaS. My core is Python — Django and FastAPI — paired with strong AWS skills: architecting infrastructure and building end-to-end CI/CD pipelines from staging through production. My time as a Technical Lead at PayMongo sharpened both technical depth and the ability to guide teams toward reliable, well-architected solutions.

A simplified view of the staging-to-production pattern I've built and maintained across multiple teams.
Libre Academy
learning.libreacademy.phAn e-learning platform built as microservices — each service an independent repository and deployable. A central Gateway API handles auth and routes traffic to downstream services. I designed the AWS architecture, the JWT gateway pattern with cross-service registration, and the Terraform-driven CI/CD that ships every service independently through blue/green deployments on ECS.

Every microservice gets its own Terraform stack, composed from a shared library of reusable modules. Each service is provisioned, scaled, and deployed independently — with secrets managed centrally, never in code.

Backend — Request Flow
The Gateway API is the single public entry point. It handles authentication locally and proxies everything else to the correct downstream microservice. Tokens are server-tracked — logout revokes all sessions instantly; refresh stays safe across multiple tabs.
Each microservice owns its own data boundary — no shared models across services. Cross-service writes use compensating transactions: if the downstream call fails, the upstream record is rolled back.
